“Motherhood really turns your world upside down—in the best way. It gives you this incredible sense of purpose,” she shared. “I always thought I had my life all figured out, but after my son was born, I started questioning everything and realized I wanted more.”
While Mommy Club is known for its glitz and glamour, Noksie’s decision to join the show is about more than just the spotlight. She hopes that by sharing her journey, she can inspire others—especially those who, like her, have had to fight for everything they have.
A delayed but Deeply Desired Motherhood
As Noksie entered her 30s, her desire for motherhood intensified. She felt the pressure of time but was also determined not to rush the process.
“For me, having a baby later in life was intentional. I wanted to be sure that I had my ducks in a row before bringing a child into the world,” she explained.
Her decision was largely influenced by her own upbringing. Raised in Nquthu’s Nondweni, a remote area in KwaZulu-Natal, she experienced firsthand how tough life could be.

A Childhood Marked by Hardship
Noksie was the third of four siblings, raised by her mother after her father was tragically killed when she was just eight years old. That loss turned her world upside down.
“I have never gotten anything on a silver platter. In fact, I’ve had to fight for everything I have today,” she said. “My father was a hustler, a typical Zulu man who prided himself on keeping his family together. When he died, things took a sharp turn for the worst. My mother was still in university and unemployed at the time. We had to survive on whatever little she could provide.”

One of the toughest periods of her childhood still lingers in her memory.
“For two years, I went to school in torn shoes, and kids would laugh at me,” she recalled, her voice thick with emotion. “Mind you, those were the same shoes I had to wear to church because we didn’t have any others. As someone who’s naturally bubbly, I couldn’t even be myself. I played small, always anxious and feeling like I didn’t belong because of our lack.”
Fighting for a Better Future
Although life eventually improved, Noksie knew she had to work hard to ensure history never repeated itself—for her or her future children.
“My parents always emphasized the importance of education, so I took that seriously,” she said. “But even then, I had to fight to find my place in the world.”
Her struggles shaped her cautious, calculated approach to life.

“My experiences taught me not to take anything lightly. I’ve never been reckless with my decisions—especially when it came to having a child.”
Reality TV and a New Chapter
Noksie never imagined she would one day be part of Mommy Club, though she had always admired the show.
“As someone in real estate, I recognized the power of visibility. I’ve always wanted a reality TV show focused on the business side of things, and if this is God’s way of opening that door, I gladly accept it,” she said.
But stepping into the reality TV world came with its own challenges.

“I walked in with positive blinders on, not thinking about all the drama that comes with it,” she admitted. “It was probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Emotionally, it was draining—I even lost weight! But because I accepted the challenge, I knew I had to see it through.”
What Viewers Can Expect
Despite the challenges, Noksie is embracing this new world with excitement. She hopes viewers will not only be entertained but also see the deeper layers of her journey.
“I want people to see that where you come from doesn’t dictate where you’re going. I come from an uninspired place, but I pushed through. That’s the story I want to tell,” she said.
With her warm personality, fierce determination, and unbreakable spirit, Noksie Khumalo is ready to take Mommy Club by storm.
