From captivating audiences on screen to creating spaces that encourage healing and personal growth, Gina Galaletsang Koffman is embracing the many dimensions of her purpose. Best known for her role as Beauty in the hit telenovela The River, the South African actress has also appeared in productions such as Kleva-ish and Netflix’s Real Estate Sisters. Beyond acting, she is a wellness practitioner and yoga instructor, exploring the connection between creativity, wellbeing and living with intention.
Motherhood has added another meaningful dimension to Gina’s journey, deepening her sense of purpose and influencing how she sees herself and the world around her. Through prayer, meditation, yoga and gratitude, she has cultivated practices that help her remain grounded, while her work with traumatised and rehabilitated horses has strengthened her empathy and connection with others. Her growing involvement in mental health advocacy and wellness reflects a desire to use her experiences to support others on their own journeys.
For 10 Moments That Changed My Life, Gina reflects on the experiences that have shaped her spiritually, personally and professionally, from becoming a mother and finding healing through working with horses to speaking on global stages and creating Therapy&Co workshops. Each moment speaks to her commitment to growth, the importance of community and her belief in helping others recognise the possibilities within themselves.
1. Discovering the Power of Prayer

Prayer has been central to the way I manifest my dreams and reflect on my life. It has been a pivotal part of my journey of faith, strengthening my spirituality and reminding me to remain intentional about the life I want to create.
2. Becoming a Mother

Pregnancy was an unraveling experience, one that allowed me to understand the profound privilege of bringing life into the world. Motherhood has been such a blessing, and being chosen for this journey is something I will never take for granted. My son has given me purpose in ways I could never have imagined.
3. Making Space for Meditation

Meditation gives me the opportunity to pause and spend time with myself. For me, meditation and prayer are one, as I meditate on the Word and reflect on everything that requires my intentional participation. It allows me to return to myself with greater clarity and awareness.
4. Finding Connection Through Horses

Working with rehabilitated horses that have experienced trauma and abuse has been a profound experience. Witnessing their journeys has helped me develop a deeper sense of empathy and connection, while teaching me the importance of patience, trust and compassion.
5. Committing to 14 Years of Yoga

Yoga has been part of my practice for the past 14 years, and it remains essential to my health and wellbeing. It has taught me that flexibility is an ability we can develop, both physically and in the way we approach life. It continues to be an important part of how I care for myself.
6. Choosing Gratitude, Always

Life has been a rollercoaster of emotions, and gratitude has helped me stay grounded and aware through its different seasons. I make a conscious effort to acknowledge the good in my life and to say thank you, always. Gratitude reminds me not to take the little things for granted.
7. Using My Voice to Advocate for Mental Health

Becoming a public speaker for mental health has allowed me to share my testimony and create space for others to feel seen. I am passionate about being part of conversations that encourage people to grow mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Seeing people embrace their growth is something that deeply fulfils me.
8. Taking My Message to Global Stages
After Kleva-ish received recognition at the Cannes World Film Festival in 2023, I felt inspired to take my voice and message further. I wanted to speak to others, particularly young Black girls, and remind them that their dreams are valid and that they deserve to dream bigger. My message, “Because of You. I CAN”, is about inspiring others to believe in what is possible for themselves.
9. Finding Alignment with My Career and Team

It is easy to lose sight of your dreams and what you truly want for yourself. I am grateful that God has brought me together with a management team that is driven, ambitious and empathetic. Finding people who believe in your dreams as much as you do is not always easy, so having a team that understands my vision and supports my growth has been invaluable.
10. Creating Healing Spaces Through Therapy&Co
I love healing, and sharing knowledge is important to me. Starting the Therapy&Co workshop has given me an opportunity to offer a space for people seeking community, connection and healing. I am proud of what I can share, especially when I see it making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
